This text from John 1:29 are the words that John the Baptist exclaimed when he pointed out Jesus to his disciples: “Behold! the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” It is a simple phrase, but tells so much that putting it to music seemed like a great way to express its deep implication. It was premiered as part of an Easter church service, but can be universally applied to any time of year.
